Workplace cow-irker

Yes that is right cow-irker, not co-worker. I now dislike the other technical operative where I work. Technical operatives, or tech ops, prepare the medical samples for testing & transport them to the technical departments. I have my dinner friend & a few other guys I like, but I have had it with this twit.

The one day I was running late & forgot my headphones & this twit was running diarrhea of the mouth. It is a long story. This is what nonsense like feminism, affirmative action, & political correctness have brought.

I really started to get annoyed when, almost a year after the man was sent back to his temporary agency, she and some of her little friends are STILL making fun of him. This poor guy should have been the one to get the job, but no, that wouldn't be politically correct, a white male military vet, oh, no. Not to mention the man HAD to provide medical insurance for his two children under our state's mandatory coverage law, or be assessed a penalty at tax time. This was a man who was hard working, and trying desperately to get full time work, and literally had nothing, and they're STILL making fun of him?! So I call her on it last time, after they were saying, "He talked about guns, & bombs..." Me, "Um, they have a strange tendency to teach that in the military, and the man was a veteran." He was talking about it in relation to his service, not in a menacing manner. Her, "Oo, I was scared if he was fired he'd come back & start shooting." Even a woman with he confided stabs him in the back LONG after he left, and this is someone who is married with three kids. This isn't enough to keep peoples' minds occupied anymore, they have to keep backstabbing this man a year after he left?!

So instead we get a young woman from a Carribean nation whose, just a year after hire, pregnant, and cant do pickups as often as before, needs to be sitting down more, has even gone to H R on our supervisor, claiming an antagonistic environment for pregnant women. I have gotten stuck covering for her when baby to be makes her throw up or something, which sets me back on my job, and all I can think is "We should have had John." One of the techs, who make more money than we do running tests, it took this guy a long time to even be able to bring his Filipina fiancee to the processing center in Vermont for an interview, this 25 year old twit from the Carribean brings her 19 year old fiance here in no time flat, and is pregnant once she has just enough seniority (one year of service) to get Family Medical Leave Act once the baby is born. John was professional, twit comes to work with everything hanging out, her bra, her belly, her legs, and then wonders why people arent' professional with her, has even called people "racist".

So last night, when I had forgotten my headphones, twit is talking to a lady with an 8 year old son. Lady's ex husband, son's father, is from the same society as twit, & I'd rather not give either a name. Twit comments on how lady's son is so respectful, citing "He's half Carribean, he knows who and what he is." ?!?! Gee, Mimi's half north African & I generally don't have trouble with her in public, it isn't a fact I cite about her like a club over everyone else's head. I think her foreign born parent makes her no better than the native borns. The icing on the cake: twit asks this lady when she's going to have grandkids. What the (f word)? The genuine lady's two kids are 8 years old and 9 months old, what the hell kind of pervert asks such a question?! Someone lash spongebob here 40 times with the wet noodle if she forgets her headphones again. I'd love to tell off this twit, but John did and he got sent back to his agency, so I just told her off here.

Yup. This is what's happening now. And it's us working stiffs pay for it all, just like all the unemployed on here who get technologies the rest of us can't even think about. When I was in the vending program, working six days a week, I had a guy come up begging for free coffee and doughnuts, then standing back and talking with his buddies about how he "tried work once" and "just couldn't." The political correct types are just like the religious types: married to an idea of what they think they want, irregardless of who gets screwed, and it's always the working class folks trying to make a lick / do better for their children's education who get the shaft. If you're wealthy, you're fine. If you're poor, you're covered by the rest of us, aka rich in a totaly different sense. And by poor I mean perpetually living on benefits.

Veering a little off topic here & getting a little laugh, sometimes the entitlement minded aren't like your vending begger. Your reply jogged my memory of a guy I knew probably 20 years ago. This guy was kind of unstable anyway, couldn't hold onto a job for but a short time.

What irked him about the restaurant business were the customers who were maybe police or county workers fixing our highways who figured that entitled them to a free pizza. Eric's reply to these freeloader wannabes: "I'm sorry but our Metropolitan Ministries sign was taken down yesterday." The thought of his standing up to these egotistical so and so's still brings a smile to my face!
